The second season of the series Northern Exposure started on the 8th Aril 1991. The season had a total of seven episodes. In the first episode, Maggie and Ed help Joel deal with fact of Elaine dumping him while Holling gifts Shelly a satellite dish which turns her into a television freak. Ed enlists the help of a 256 year old Indian spirit named One-Who-Waits to find out about his parents. The spirit also advises Chris to sleep with the most beautiful woman of the town to get back his voice. Holling manages to impress Shelly when he challenges a drunken roughneck while Maggie convinces Joel to pretend to be her boyfriend to please her father and Chris and Maurice ask the residents to look after the dead body of an anonymous man.

Joel’s plans of a vacation in New York are trashed when Maggie dreams about his death in a plane crash and town falls in love with his handsome substitute who arrives beforehand. With the arrival of spring things get a little crazy as Maggie and Joel frequent each other’s dreams, Maurice is attracted towards State Trooper Barbara Semanski and Holling has an urge to pick up fights with his customers. Maurice invites the visiting Soviet celebrity to a deadly serious chess match while Holling endures a bout of awful dreams and Ed wins the heart of a farm girl with some help from Chris. In the final episode of the season, which was aired on 20th May 1991, Rick dies after being hit by a falling satellite and two men show interest in buying a house from Maurice who does not like their lifestyle.[Read More...]
