Northern Exposure Season 6

The sixth season of the series Northern Exposure started on 19th September 1994. The season had a total of twenty three episodes. In the first episode, Joel accidentally drinks an Indian medicine as a result of which he goes on a spiritual journey in which he experiences his life as a doctor in Manhattan. Ed unveils an insurance scam by Hayden Keyes with the help of Renaldo while Maggie and Maurice donate to the library fund-raising auction and end up regretting their donations. Maurice plans to go on a fox hunt while Joel tries to be kinder and gentler on Yom Kippur. Joel starts appreciating every moment of his life after his nearly close brush with cancer while Maggie does some introspection on finding a letter written to herself as a teenager and misfortune befalls Shelly after she ignores a chain letter. Joel rejoices in his opportunity to prove Johns Hopkins School of Medicine wrong as they had refused to grant him admission while Shelly has an opportunity to realize her wildest dream and Chris uses an entertainer’s dummy to guide him. Ed tries to relieve Marilyn of the pain in her leg by filming her narrating the story of the Russian treaty negotiations between Princess Anastasia and Lenin.

While Maurice tries to turn his young cousin into a heir apparent, Joel and Maggie go off to Russia on an adventure trip. Ruth-Anne realizes that she has fallen madly in love with Walt while Joel moves up the river to settle there. Joel is replaced by a new doctor while Ed is able to see the future after he eats a magical trout and Holling desperately wants to join men’s club. Maggie becomes the new Mayor while Joel and Phil enjoy a game of golf and Marilyn’s idea of dog breeding fails. After having visions of his death Maggie goes to the Manonash village to save Joel’s life while Ed ascertains the cure of shingles but ends up loosing it. Joel returns to his old ways when Marilyn comes to visit an old friend while Maurice goes on a hunting trip leaving Ed in charge and Holling and Shelly plan about buying their first house. Joel comes to know that he can leave Alaska while Cal Ingraham does not have an audience which upsets him. Maurice becomes jealous due to Phil and Holling bonding well while Walt moves in with Ruth-Anne and Maggie is convinced of the family curse after the death of her mother’s boyfriend. Joel and Maggie go to look for the mythical Jeweled City of the North while Chris sues Dr. Capra blaming him of medical malpractice. Phil and Michelle come to realize that they hate the place where they are living while Maggie and Chris revert to Roslyn and Cicely’s Model T on Founder’s day parade.[Read More....]
