CBS’s famous American television series “Northern Exposure” is the best television series I have ever watched. It ran from 1990 to 1995 with six seasons which could really not be described in words. I really mean it.

The series was premiered on July 12, 1990 with the first episode “Pilot” of season 1. The show finally ended with the last episode Tranquility Base of the last season (season 6) of the series. Total number of episodes which had been aired in the complete series is 110. “Northern Exposure” was a very successful show but due to the downfall in ratings around 1994-1995, its got cancelled. The ratings fell down because of various reasons like unexplained character trait changes, departure of Morrow and few more

The popularity of the show could be judged from the fact that it won 27 awards and was nominated for 57 awards during its five year of run. Among the 27 awards won by the series, three were Emmy awards, two were Golden Globe awards and one Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series.

I remember those days when “Northern Exposure” was running. I started watching the show from the seventh episode of the season 1. And trust me till the last episode of season 6 , I never missed even a single episode. I was so much into the show that I often used to write about it and was very sad when it came to an end.
